About the McGlynn CenterThe McGlynn Center is a family enrichment center located in the Boulevard Townhomes. Operated by the Sisters of Mercy PROJECT REMAIN since 1988, the Center provides numerous educational, recreational and social outreach programs and services for hundreds of children and families.
Who helps at the Center?Staff is comprised mainly of caring community volunteers, including from King's College, Wilkes University, College Misericordia, Penn State, L.C.C.C., and local high schools and organizations. The center receives on-site support local social service agencies. Strong support from Wilkes-Barre Housing Authority, generous donations from private and corporate sources and community donations from individuals and groups help keep us alive. |
